The purpose of the 3rd International Conference on Web Information Systems and Technologies (WEBIST) is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the technological advances and business applications of web-based information systems. The International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED) conference (EuroIMSA 2007) will be an opportunity for international research scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research, ideas, developments, and applications in these fields. EuroIMSA 2007 will include keynote addresses, contributed papers, and tutorials on a wide range of topics. The keynote speaker is Dr. Fabio Panzieri – University of Bologna, Italy, who will dicuss the Scalability of Internet-based Application Systems. Call for papers is open until 15 October 2006.

*Web 2.0 Expo April 15-18, 2007, Moscone West, San Francisco, California O’Reilly Media and CMP Technology have launched Web 2.0 Expo, a combined conference and tradeshow for the technology and business community as a companion event to the existing Web 2.0 Conference, focusing on education. Web 2.0 Expo is the first event specifically designed to help teach Web 2.0 techniques and best practices to people in the trenches directly involved in the design, development, engineering, marketing, and business of second-generation internet technology.
